WASHING
try to make sure that your vintage items are always washed separately to your other clothing . Pieces that are pigment died can still run colour after multiple washes due to stronger detergents
PLEASE DO!
- Always wash vintage clothing inside out.
- Always wash with cold water.
- Dry your clothing inside out to avoid sun fading.
DO NOT!
- Never soak coloured items longer than two hours, only White.
- Never set your spin speed to Max.
- Avoid washing shirts with items that contain zips and buttons. This can cause pinholes during spin cycle.
IRONING
PLEASE DO!
•Iron inside to maintain longevity of the screen printed graphics
• try to use garment steamer. This is much safer on vintage clothing and will give better results.
• if using an iron, use the delicate setting to avoid any damage to older cotton
DO NOT!
- Never directly iron over any types of screen printing this can destroy their ink, causing cracking and peeling.
HANGING AND STORAGE
PLEASE DO!
- always use a strong coathanger made of solid materials such as a wood or metal.
- Try keep screen printed items hung at all times.
- Folding items for long periods can cause damage to their ink and prints.
DO NOT!
- Never remove hangers via the collar. This will stretch the fabric and cause it to go out of shape.
